This more than doubles a company's energy efficiency, slashing energy costs and greenhouse emissions simultaneously. Studies for the EPA and DoE suggest cogeneration could reduce our nation's greenhouse pollution by 20%. That's more than just about any other global warming solution. AND it saves money! The only reason more isn't happening is that regulations favoring the utilities make it hard for more efficient options like cogen to emerge. This needs to move to the forefront of the debate.
