Former Alaskan Sen. Mike Gravel makes his case to voters in Manchester on Sunday morning.
Former Sen. Mike Gravel, still nursing the remnants of a bad cold, spoke to about a hundred people at a local Jewish temple in Manchester. The Temple Adath Yeshurun hosted a candidate's breakfast and invited candidates to come and speak to the congregation. Gravel and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson gave stump speeches and answered questions from the attendees.
Gravel talked about his solid voting record in the Senate for preserving the state of Israel but added that he had aligned himself with peace activists in both Israel and the United States, saying the only way to obtain peace in the region was to trade land for peace.
